After successfully disabling Chrome updates (on Mac) a month ago, today I rebooted and "someone" forced me to work with a new color palette. I had to spend some time to revert to previous (OS-native) colours, as apparently I am not "everyone".

Isn't this technically hacking with a backdoor?

I have nothing against updates or changes, but I would like to be in control about when they happen, i.e. not in the middle of some important work.

Am I the only one feeling that this practice of pushing new features and updates has gone way beyond what is acceptable?
