This is an idea I had years ago when I got pulled into a Washington Capitals game for a sales meeting. Our customer was a huge fan, and I realized I knew nothing about the Caps. I wanted a quick cheat sheet—something like a “CliffsNotes” podcast to get me up to speed on the drive over—but it didn’t really exist.
Fast forward 10 years, I now run a cybersecurity firm doing penetration tests for a bunch of YC companies ( https://securecoders.com ), but this idea still pops into my head from time to time. Yesterday, I needed a project to do with my kids, so we made this podcast—and aside from being fun, it turned out pretty great.
In Now A Fan, my seven-year-old (Fiona) asks her football-obsessed brother (Tyler) all the questions you might have but don’t want to ask at a Super Bowl party. It’s a fast, fun way to get up to speed on the Eagles vs. Chiefs—so you can talk like a real fan.
What do you think?
